About the Founder
Ask Bob exists because Michael understands the moment when a person has a question and a business needs to answer clearly, quickly, and humanely.
Bob is friendly on the surface and serious underneath — built to turn approved business knowledge into better conversations, not to replace the heart of a business.

A good business answer is not just information. It is timing, tone, memory, clarity, and care. Bob is being built to bring those pieces together when customers need help.
Michael entered finance in March 2000, answering customer service calls just as the dot-com bubble began to burst. That meant real people, real anxiety, real money, and real urgency on the other end of the phone.
It was an early lesson that never left him: when someone reaches out, the response matters. A good answer can calm confusion. A fast follow-up can save an opportunity. A clear explanation can build trust. A missed message can cost more than anyone realizes.
Ask Bob was built from that understanding — because every ad, video, post, website, and campaign eventually creates the same moment: a person has a question and the business needs to answer.
Michael is also a musician, slam poet, singer, dancer, artist, and designer — with a creative communication background shaped by years of helping businesses explain themselves clearly.
Raised around creativity, reflection, and intentional community influences, he learned early that tone, rhythm, empathy, and human language matter as much as the facts.
That creative life shaped how he thinks about AI. A useful front-office agent cannot just be technically correct. It has to communicate clearly, carry tone, reduce friction, and feel human enough to help. That is why Bob cares about conversation quality — not robotic answers.
Before finance, Michael started as a mechanic — listen for the problem, trace the failure, understand the parts, fix the cause, make sure the whole thing works again.
For more than 20 years, he has built websites, applications, and digital systems as both designer and developer: roughly 400 websites, 250+ logos, 250+ Facebook apps, and years of UX, branding, and client strategy work with business owners who needed clarity, not just code.
Bob is a continuation of that work — a practical layer between a business and the daily flood of customer questions, leads, requests, and follow-ups.
Michael spent about five years in hands-on trades across dozens of service-job categories. Ask Bob was not imagined only from behind a desk. It was shaped by contractors on job sites, service teams between appointments, and owners wearing five hats while customers still expect a quick answer.
Bob exists for that gap — the space between doing the work and managing the front office; between a customer question and a captured opportunity.
In 2012, Michael moved to Costa Rica, where nature, bamboo, permaculture, and ecological materials became central to his life. He started Materiales Ambientales Ecológicos and spent years close to land and resilient natural systems.
The best systems support life around them. They reduce friction. They help people keep moving. That is the spirit behind Bob — friendly enough to talk to, structured enough to be useful, practical enough to help.
Michael is building Bob to be the kind of AI teammate a business owner can actually understand and trust — a helpful teammate that answers common questions, captures leads cleanly, organizes conversations, and gives owners more visibility, not less control.
The point is not to replace the human heart of a business. The point is to protect it.
Questions deserve answers — clear, timely, and grounded in what the business actually knows.
Communication craft matters. Bob should feel useful and human, not cold or generic.
Approved knowledge, context, and follow-through turn conversations into trust.
I have spent my life learning how people ask, answer, explain, design, repair, market, and communicate. Bob comes from all of that — and from believing that a good answer is an act of care.
I am building Bob so businesses can show up for customers even when the team is busy, closed, or out in the field — with clarity, memory, and a human tone.
